Crockpot Beans


Chick Peas
4 cups dry chick peas
soak overnight, drain, rinse, rinse again
cook on high until soft
If they won't soften up add ½ tsp. baking soda and cook some more.
1/3 c. sugar
2 Tbls. garlic
1 Tbls. ginger
1 tsp. red pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
cook lowest heat overnight, crack open lid
1/3 cup vinegar


Pinto Beans
2 cups dried beans, soak, drain, rinse, rinse again
1/4 c. oregano
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup chili powder
[1/4 cup vinegar after cooked]
